Faculty and students who are funded under any of these mechanisms will be expected to attend the monthly seminars on aging sponsored by the Center and to submit a report at the end of the funding period describing their research progress.
Our goal is to stimulate research on aging, broadly construed. We welcome applications from scholars in the humanities, and in social, biomedical, and physical sciences. Grants will be reviewed by the Steering Committee for the Center for Population and Health Aging Initiative. Applications need not have prior approval from the IRB, however, final funding for activities involving human subjects is contingent upon approval by the appropriate Georgetown IRB; research collaboration with a foreign institution may require review by an in-country IRB.
